    Superb

We stayed at The Ravensworth Arms as a base for our shopping trip which was easily accesible from the hotel. Staff at this hotel were outstanding, as was the food. The rooms were decorated lovely, with comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Our breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh. Will definately use this hotel again.

    Superb

Room was fantastic - clean, good-sized. Bed was comfortable. We also ate at the pub attached to the Hotel and the food was excellent.

Is in a little village just outside Newcastle / Gateshead, so if you are planning a city break to those places you may need a car as public transport seemed fairly light in the area.

    Exceptional

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night, would definately go back and have already recommended this place to friends. The hotel is situated 10mins away from Newcastle city centre and in a lovely country area. The food and service was superb and the staff were really friendly, anything we wanted was catered for including booking a taxi to Newcastle. The pictures on this website dont do the hotel justice, as it doesnt show the cottages that are used for the hotel guests. In summary "A superb hotel"

Could not find fault with the hotel :-)

Staff are very helpful and served breakfast a bit earlier to help us out. Food is fabulous and rooms were clean and comfy.

Our room was lovely (room 11). Nice and bright with views over the countryside at the back. Very nicely decorated and comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant good. Lovely patio to sit outside in the sunshine. This was our second stay and would go again if opportunity arises.

    Very good

I thought the food was good with a fairly wide choice both for breakfast and evening meal. I found the staff friendly and very helpful. The Ravensworth Arms Hotel was fairly close to three separate members of my family who I try to visit at least once a year.

Being of a certain age, I would have preferred a "walk in" shower rather than the shower over the bath. Also, my room was up a flight of stairs, I would have liked one on the ground floor. On the third day of my stay when I mentioned the stairs to a staff member, she quickly found that a room was available "on the flat" and offered to help me transfer my gear. However, I thanked her for her efforts and said that I would stay where I was to avoid any confusion.

    Fabulous

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very nice room and excellent value. We enjoyed our meals which were just right for what we wanted. All in all a very pleasant stay and we have booked here again for our next trip to the area.

    Fabulous

Very helpful staff, willing to cater for special dietry requirements. Good breakfast the following morning.

We did have noisy neighbours as the rooms are joined together in an outside block and walls are obviously very thin! I found the mattress too hard but thats personal preference and you can't please everyone!

Great base for touring. Nice to come back to after a long day out with good food and drink on the premises.

    Fabulous

The style of the rooms were very nice and the restaurant attached was particulary handy.

    Not enough parking spaces.

    Very good

the view was excellent from the bedroom window,

kettle leaked, and shower was only a trickle, and we were kept up most of the night with people talking and bedroom antics.
